Mission

Since early 2019 I shifted my life a little and started Next Level Outdoors. After 2 years of owning and operating this company I thought hard about when and why I started it. My brother attempted to take his life without any major signs or cries for help. At 0143 I found him in our yard with a GSW to the mandible after a note he sent me over text. I tried my best to prolong his life until EMS arrived and took over. We then found ourselves in and out of different care facilities over the first month. During that time I met a lot of people and made new friends. We spent most days of the following months talking about many things, mental health being the biggest one. The topic of men’s mental health doesn’t get enough light and gets brushed off all too often. I’ve realized over the past few years that it’s a very important thing that needs more attention and to be talked about. I grew up being told men don’t cry, and you can’t show emotion. It wasn’t an issue at a young age but now being an adult, I can see it wasn’t a healthy way to be raised. It’s an issue I wish I could’ve changed before it was too late. Now I’m trying to do my best to help many others like me and let them know they aren’t alone.
I have decided I will be donating 10% of all proceeds to mens mental health programs and volunteering my time when I can. One of the best organizations I have found is Veterans Help Foundation of Wyoming. VHFW is a non profit who goes out of their way to help veterans get involved in life and not become part of the 22 a day, and I feel like Next Level Outdoors can be a big helping factor.
